Rental Requirements

A valid regular driver’s license issued by your state or country is acceptable as long as it is valid, not expired, and written in the Roman alphabet. Non-U.S. residents should present a valid driver’s license and passport from their home country. If the license is not written in the Roman alphabet, an International Driving Permit is also required. The renter must be at least 21 years old, and we recommend a minimum of five years of driving experience.

The renter must be at least 21 years old. Customers age 21 to 24 may be subject to additional conditions depending on the vehicle type. Visitors and tourists in California may drive with a valid license from their home state or country as long as that license remains valid.

The renter must provide a valid driver’s license and a credit or debit card. The names should match. Non-U.S. renters may also need to show a passport and proof of insurance or approved insurance arrangements.

If the van is used for hire, profit, organized groups, or regulated transportation, all drivers must have the required license and must comply with all local, state, and federal laws. Our vans do not meet Federal Bus Safety Standards and may not be used to transport children in 12th grade or younger for school-related functions, except family members.

Insurance & Coverage

Yes. Insurance is required by California law for all rental vehicles. Every authorized driver must carry valid liability insurance that extends to the rental van. U.S. residents usually need proof of personal auto insurance that includes liability, comprehensive, and collision coverage transferable to a rental vehicle.

Liability insurance helps protect authorized drivers if an accident causes bodily injury or property damage to third parties. It covers claims from people outside the rental vehicle when the driver is legally responsible. Liability coverage is required by law in California.

Collision Damage Waiver helps reduce your financial responsibility for damage to the rental vehicle due to collision or vandalism. CDW does not cover personal belongings and does not remove all responsibility; a $1,000 deductible applies.

Most credit card rental insurance programs do not cover 12 or 15 passenger vans and often exclude vehicles with more than 8 seats. Please confirm directly with your credit card provider before relying on credit card coverage.

Supplemental Liability Insurance may increase liability limits, but it is usually not primary insurance. It is intended to supplement an existing policy. International renters should confirm whether any third-party coverage satisfies California’s primary liability insurance requirements.

No. Personal Accident Insurance coverage is not currently offered.

Yes. A security deposit is required to secure the reservation. The deposit is authorized on a debit or credit card and may be refunded or released according to the reservation and cancellation terms.

Deposit amounts depend on the vehicle type, rental details, insurance requirements, and payment method. Deposits typically range from $300 to $1,500. International clients or insurance-related rentals may require a $1,000 deposit. Deposit releases usually take 7 to 15 business days after return, depending on the bank.

We do not add sneaky hidden fees. If the vehicle is provided from a partner location, taxes, vehicle license fees, or other location-based fees may apply.

Vehicles, Seats & Accessories

Our fleet includes Ford Transit 12 passenger vans, 15 passenger vans, high roof vans, Toyota Sienna minivans, cargo vans, Mercedes Sprinter-style passenger vans, and Ford E350 Econoline passenger vans.

Yes. All vehicles in our fleet are automatic.

Yes. In some vans, we can remove the last row or selected seats to create more cargo space. A 15 passenger E350 with the last row removed seats about 11 people including the driver. Accessories may be available upon request, including GPS navigation, portable WiFi, child seats, and toddler seats. Availability may vary, so please request accessories before pickup.

We do not rent trailers. Some passenger vans may have a towing receiver and hitch, but towing must be approved in advance. If towing is absolutely necessary, no more than one passenger should be onboard other than the driver.

Mileage, Travel Area & Driving Rules

Most passenger and cargo van rentals include free daily miles depending on vehicle type and model. Additional miles are usually charged per mile. Please confirm your specific mileage allowance before booking.

Vehicles are generally restricted to California, Nevada, Arizona, and Utah unless approved in writing. Contact us in advance if your travel plans include other states.

Vehicles must remain in the United States unless special arrangements, insurance, and management approval are completed in advance. Contact us before planning international travel.

Please follow posted speed limits and do not exceed 65 mph or the posted limit, whichever is lower.

Carpool lane rules depend on the number of occupants and the road. Passenger vans with enough occupants may qualify, but drivers are responsible for following all California carpool lane rules and posted signage.

The renter is responsible for all tolls, parking tickets, traffic tickets, and toll road violations during the rental period. Administrative fees may apply if we receive and process violations after your rental.

Fuel, Cleaning & Damage

The van should be returned with the same fuel level it had at pickup, usually full. If returned with less fuel, refueling charges plus the cost of fuel will apply.

Yes. Prepaid fuel may be available so you can return the van at any fuel level and avoid refueling before drop-off.

All vehicles are non-smoking and regularly cleaned. Cleaning fees may apply for tobacco odor, pet hair, excessive dirt, stains, residue, cigarette burns, ash, or similar issues. Fees may be up to $500 depending on condition.

The renter and/or renter’s insurance is responsible for repair costs and loss of use. If CDW was purchased, your financial responsibility may be reduced subject to the deductible and policy terms.

We inspect our tires regularly. If you get a flat tire, you are responsible for repair or replacement and any damage resulting from the flat or blown tire. You may use a local tow company or roadside assistance.

Call us at 888-840-1198. If you are near Los Angeles, we will do our best to replace the van. If you are outside the Los Angeles area, we will help coordinate repair through a local shop or dealer.
